(Crookston, Minn.)- Kentucky Wesleyan College jumped out to a 9-0 lead after three innings and held the University of Minnesota, Crookston to just three hits on their way to a 13-0 win over the Golden Eagles today at the Russ Matt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla.
Max Aubrey led the Panthers going 3-3 with two runs batted in (RBI) and two runs scored. Ben Coudret went 3-5 with an RBI. Bryce Shoulders and Nathan Hedgepath each added two hits and two RBI. Jon Wandling threw six scoreless, no-hit innings while striking out seven to get the win.
J.M. Habeck (Jr, OF/LHP, Winnipeg, Man.), Ben Lazzari (Jr, RHP/OF, Shakopee, Minn.) and Charlie Pelzer (Fr, C/OF, Little Canada, Minn.) all had hits for U of M, Crookston who falls to 0-6 on the season.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, March 15 when they play the University of Minnesota Duluth in a non-conference game at the Russ Matt Invitational. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CST) in Winter Haven, Fla.
