Golden Eagle Men Return Home to Host MSU Moorhead on Saturday

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team returns home to host Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) game on Saturday, January 28. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 5-12 and NSIC record of 1-12 after dropping a pair of games this past weekend to St. Cloud State University (69-57) and Concordia University, St. Paul (82-65). They are led by Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) who is averaging 16.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 15.8 points per game.

Golden Eagles vs. MSU Moorhead                              Saturday, January 28                        4 p.m.

The Dragons have an overall record of 13-4 and NSIC record of 9-4 after dropping a pair of games to Concordia University, St. Paul (84-71) and St. Cloud State University (77-56) this past weekend. MSUM was ranked 18th in the last National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll. The Dragons are led by Jake Lindfors who is averaging 14.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. DJ Hamilton is averaging 13.5 points per game. Charlie Chapman is averaging 13.1 points per game. Alex Novak is averaging 10.5 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. MSUM defeated U of M, Crookston 64-61 back on December 10.
