(10/14/05)- Assistant Football/Head Baseball Coach Steve Olson Inducted into the Valley City State University Hall of Fame

(5/13/05)- Aaron Johnson Earns All-Conference Honors, Motl and Wolf Named Honorable Mention

Golden Eagle Baseball had three of its players recognized by the NSIC as All-Conference players. Aaron Johnson (Jr., IF, Dumont, MN) was named to the All-Conference First Team while Brandon Wolf (Jr., IF/P, Sauk Centre, MN) and Aaron Motl (SO., C, Staples, MN) were named Honorable Mention.

Johnson, Wolf and Motl were the big three on the Golden Eagle Baseball team in most of the offensive statistics this season.

Johnson led the team in several categories including batting average (.396), total hits (38) and doubles (11).

Wolf led UMC in RBI's (24), was second on the team in hits (34) and runs scored (18) and third on the team in batting average (.291).

Motl was second on the team in batting average (.364), slugging percentage (.466), RBI's (15) and doubles (7).

The All-Conference team and individual award winners were selected by the league coaches.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston Athletic Department held their annual Athletic Awards Program, April 26, 2005 on the Crookston campus honoring the 2004-05 seniors and presenting awards for Male and Female Athlete of the Year.
