Previous School: Attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, Minn. where he played baseball for the Vikings and was a member of their 2007 Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) State Championship team.
High School: Attended Detroit Lakes High School in Detroit Lakes, Minn…graduated in 2005…was named All-Conference in baseball and also the team’s Cy Young Award recipient.
