2008: Sophomore season…played in 23 games starting 11…hit .320 (8 for 25) with one homerun, three runs scored and three RBI…second on team in batting average…made eight appearance on the mound starting one game…pitched 13.1 innings…recorded nine strikeouts.

Previous School: Attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, Minn. where he played baseball for the Vikings and was a member of their 2007 Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) State Championship team.

High School: Attended Detroit Lakes High School in Detroit Lakes, Minn…graduated in 2005…was named All-Conference in baseball and also the team’s Cy Young Award recipient.
